The Challenge
Cyprus Fisheries, a seafood wholesaler based in London, wanted to get more customers and bigger contracts. To do this, the company had to prove it was following food safety and operations rules better. The team knew a lot about the sector, but they didn’t have the internal knowledge to go through the SALSA BSD accreditation procedure on their own.
Cyprus Fisheries contacted us for help getting this important accreditation after hearing about Food Safety Assist through our work with Upper Scale.
Our Solution
We specifically designed a full support package for Cyprus Fisheries to help them meet the criteria of the SALSA BSD standard. The engagement included:

The project lasted nine months, and during that time we changed how we did things to meet the changing needs of the business. The main contact at Cyprus Fisheries didn’t have much expertise with food safety or products, so we made sure our advice was clear, useful, and informative.
Implementation
We used a delivery strategy that included three on-site visits, including the final audit, as well as remote assistance. This combination of methods lets us help people in person while keeping the procedure quick and cheap.
We began with one company contact, but as staff changed, we worked with Yassine and Andy. Even with these changes, we kept things going and made sure the project stayed on pace.
